That's a rare gift in exam prep, because it tells you exactly where 30 marks sit. The other thing worth knowing: Paper 1 CDP is about the 6–11 year old child. Paper 2's is about 11–14. Paper 1's five equal sections
Paper 1 qualifies you to teach Classes 1 to 5. Unlike Paper 2 — where one subject section carries 60 marks — Paper 1 is five sections of exactly 30. Nothing is optional and nothing dominates:

Two consequences follow from the equal split. First, there's no subject choice to agonise over — Paper 2 candidates pick between Maths & Science and Social Studies; you don't. Second, no section can be sacrificed. Each is exactly a fifth of your paper, and each is exactly a third of the way to qualifying on its own.

Most exams tell you a section's total and leave you guessing at the internals. CTET's CDP section is an exception, and it's worth building your preparation around:

Why 6–11 changes the answers
Paper 1 CDP is explicitly about the 6–11 year old. Paper 2's is about 11–14. Candidates preparing both — or using a friend's Paper 2 notes — often treat CDP as one shared section. It isn't, and the difference is not cosmetic:

The theorists, side by side
Fifteen marks of child development, and most questions ask you to attribute a claim — which theorist said this, which stage is this, whose concept is this. That makes comparison the right way to learn them, not biography:
Children build understanding themselves through assimilation and accommodation. Development happens in fixed stages, and readiness comes before learning. Your child is in the concrete operational stage (roughly 7–11) — logical, but about tangible things.

Only 5 marks, so calibrate: this is a section to be competent in, not to master. Know the categories, know the principle of inclusion, know that the response is adapting the classroom rather than segregating the child. That's most of the available marks.
Languages, Maths & EVS — the other 120
Two different languages, chosen at application — and you must attempt the ones you chose. Language I is your medium of instruction; Language II tests proficiency in another.
Each is 15 comprehension + 15 pedagogy. The pedagogy half covers language acquisition vs learning, principles of language teaching, the role of listening and speaking, remedial teaching, and evaluating comprehension.
Together these are 60 marks — the largest block in the paper — and half of it is pedagogy that fluency does not cover.
Content: numbers, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, measurement, weight, time, volume, money, geometry, patterns, data handling.
Pedagogy: the nature of mathematics and children's thinking; place of mathematics in the curriculum; the language of mathematics; community mathematics; evaluation; problems of teaching; error analysis and remedial teaching.
The content is Class 1–5. The pedagogy is not — and it's half the section.
EVS exists only in Paper 1 — Paper 2 has no equivalent. Content: family and friends, food, shelter, water, travel, and "things we make and do."
Pedagogy: concept and scope of EVS; its significance as an integrated subject; environmental studies and environmental education; learning principles; scope and relation to Science and Social Science; approaches to presenting concepts; activities; experimentation and practical work; discussion; CCE; teaching material and aids; problems.
EVS pedagogy is the most-underestimated 15 marks in Paper 1 — precisely because the content looks trivially easy.
A working candidate's plan
Most Paper 1 candidates are graduates with a D.El.Ed or B.Ed, often working or teaching already. Priorities, given limited and irregular hours:
